Union Minister Pradhan Visits Temples, Interacts With People In Sambalpur

Sambalpur, June 16: Sambalpur Lok Sabha MP and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited various temples in Sambalpur today. He interacted with the local people and thanked them for their support.

Union Minister Pradhan visited the Shiva Temple at Maneswar, Sambalpur, the Hanuman Temple at Brooks Hill, the Maa Raneshwar Ramachandi Temple at Danipali, and the Balunkeshwar Temple at Nandapada. Similarly, the Union Minister offered prayers at Jagannath temple in Jharduapada and Anokha Shri Shyam temple in Sambalpur.

On this occasion, the Union Minister said that Sambalpur is a city of temples and, thus, a spiritual place. It was his first visit to Sambalpur after he was elected as an MP. "The temples here are not only centers of faith but also great centers of civilization and culture," he said. 

Pradhan said it is a blessing for him to understand the local life and get an opportunity to interact directly with the people.

Before visiting the temples, Pradhan had met former MLA Dr Raseswari Panigrahi at her residence and took her blessings. 

Besides, he met the senior people of Sambalpur and sought their blessings and advice for the promotion of local literature and education and development of the region. Pradhan said he is committed to building a clean, beautiful, developed Odisha and a developed Sambalpur.
