Two Killed In Lightning Strike In Balasore Village

Balasore, Aug 10: In a tragic incident, at least two persons died and three others were injured in a lightning strike in Odsiha's Balasore district on Saturday.

The two deceased have been identified as Basant Das and Narendra Biswal of Raipitambar village under Soro police station limits in the district.

The incident took place when the victims were working on their paddy fields at Raipitambar village.

The locals rescued the victims in a critical condition and rushed them to the Soro Community Health Centre (CHC), where doctors declared two of them dead.

The condition of the three injured is stated to be critical and are undergoing treatment.

Soro Police registered a case in this connection and started an investigation into the incident.
