Bhubaneswar, Dec 13: Troubles mounted for BJD's Rajya Sabha MP Munna Khan with family members of Poet Ramkrushna Nanda strongly protesting and demanding action against him for his derogatory remarks on the poet's popular devotional prayer "Ahe Dayamaya Bishwa Bihari".
The family members of the poet have demanded that Munna Khan be ousted from the BJD soon.
"The Rajya Sabha MP's remark is disrespectful. The poet's high spiritual thoughts have been hurt. We will meet the BJD president and former Chief Minister on the issue," said Prakash Nanda, grandson of legendary poet Ramkrushna Nanda.
Prakash Nanda has also lodged a complaint with the Olatpur police station, demanding Khan's arrest.
Notably, Khan tendered an apology after his remark was severely criticized by people belonging to different sections of society. "Ahe Dayamaya", written by Ramkrushna Nanda, is a popular devotional song recited as prayer in schools across Odisha.
