Balasore, Dec 6: A tribal woman was critically injured as miscreants fired at her while she was sleeping in her house at Raipal village under Nilgiri block in Balasore district last night.

The critically injured woman, Laxmi Murmu (50), has been hospitalized. 

According to the inormation, Laxmi was sleeping in her house when two youths came and fired at her. As the woman shouted, the miscreants fled from the spot. 

Family members rushed Laxmi to the Nilgiri area first. However, she was shefted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital as her condition deteriorated. Laxmi has reportedly received gunshop injuries in her waist, abdomen and hands.
