Tractor Overturns In Ganjam Village, 3 Women Workers Dead

Berhampur, Jan 22: In a tragic incident, two women workers were killed as a tractor in which they were travelling turned turtle at Amundi village in Kharanipada gram panchayat under Patrapur K Nuagaon police station limits in Ganjam district this morning. 

The two deceased women were identified as Jhunu Naik, wife of Madhab Naik and Jhunu Naik, wife of Murlai Naik, of Chaitanya Chandrapur Sasan village. 

According to the information, the two women were returning from their paddy land when the mishap occurred. They got trapped under a machine that was also being carried by the same tractor. 

Locals rushed the two severely injured women to the Patrapur medical where one of them was declared dead. The other victim was shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital given her critical condition. However, she too succumbed to injuries. 

The incident has sent a shockwave among the locals.
