Tiger Mauls Elderly Woman To Death In Jungle On Odisha-Chhattisgarh Border

Nabarangpur, June 10: In a terrific incident, an elderly woman was mauled to death by a tiger in a village in Chhattisgarh on the Odisha border last night. 

The incident occurred in a village in Chhattisgarh bordering the Umarkote area in Odisha's Nabarangpur district. 

According to the informaiton, the elderly woman was sleeping in her house when a tiger came, held her by her neck, and dragged her to a distance of 200 metres into a jungle. The big cat feasted on her body there. 

Some locals found her half-mauled body lying in the jungle. While the woman's saree was found lying stretched outside her house, pug marks on her house's front yard indicate the tiger attack.    

Villagers are in a state of fear now.
