Three College Students Drown In Damdamani Dam, 2 Dead, 1 Rescued In Cuttack

Cuttack, July 24: In a tragic mishap, two students reportedly drown to death in Damdamani dam and another student rescued under Choudwar Police station limits here today.

According to the reports,  five friends from Stewart College, Cuttack went to Damdamani Dam for outing.

While they were taking a bath in the dam three students accidently got slipped and drowned in the dam, while one of the students was rescued by the locals and two other went missing.

On being informed, Police and fire personnel reached the spot and started search operation. 

During the operation, they recovered the two bodies and they were found dead.

Two deceased students has been identified as Srutik Satpathy and Soyam Sanket Das of Cuttack district.

Locals allege taht such incidents happen frequently due to the absence of a fence around the dam.
