Thousands Of Devotees Take Part In Nimbarka Jayanti In Subarnapur

Subarnapur, Nov 28: The 5119th Nimbarka Jayanti Mahotsab (celebration) has been celebrated at Bhimatanga of Ulunda block in Subarnapur district today. 

Apart from the celebrations, a newly constructed Bhagabat temple and Panchu Pandab temple were also inaugurated here. 
Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the temple rituals. The Mahotsab holds significance as an indication of the age old 'Guru-Shishya Parampara' (teacher-pupil relation).

"For the last 38 years this Mahotsab has been organised in different parts of Odisha to keep alive the Guru-Shishya culture. Around 25,000 to 30,000 devotees have come to attend the function. From children to the elderly, people of every age group can be seen attending it. A 'prasad sevan' has also been organised for the visitors," said Bansidhar Das Maharaj,one of the organisers. 

The host, Gouri Hota, who has sat as 'Karta' for the temple inauguration expressed her happiness for the temple establishment.
