Thief Arrested With 269gm Gold Jewellery And Rs 5L Cash In Nayagarh Town

Nayagarh, Feb 25: A thief was arrested after the locals of Nayagarh town suspected him as a stranger and informed the Nayagarh town police about him today. 

According to the information, the arrested has been identified as Alomgiri Mola, son of Najurul Mola of Badabaida village under Kulpi police station limits of West Bengal. He was arrested from the Nayagarh traffic square. The locals noticed him standing there for a long time with a huge bag in hand.

On being informed, police reached the square and checked his bag.  

Police seized 269 grams of gold jewellery and cash of Rs 4,89,100. From his possession, 10 necklaces, six gold chains, three rani gold lockets, six ambakasi lockets, 28 earring tops, two rings, three ear rings and two gold biscuits were seized. 

Police has lodged a complaint against him and is further investigating the matter.
