Terrorism, Naxalism Wiped Out From Country During Modi Govt: Amit Shah

Sonepur, Apr 25: Development has been quite remarkable across sectors in India in the last 10 years and Odisha has lagged due to the inefficiency and corruption of the Naveen Patnaik Government, Union Minister and BJP star poll campaigner Amit Shah alleged at the party's "Vijay Sankalp Samavesh" here today.

Shah claimed that not only development has occurred but also terrorism and naxalism wiped out simultaneously in the last 10 years of the Narendra Modi Government.

Shah took responses from the people on the biggest-ever achievements made by the Modi Government and wanted to know if the BJP should not be voted to power for 3rd time at the Centre and the first time in Odisha for the speedy growth of the State.
"Was not Ram Temple required to be built," he asked the gathering, alleging that the Congress was dilly-dallying the process for vote politics.

"Isn't Kashmir ours? Was not the abolition of Section 370 required," he asked, alleging again that Congress was taking advantage of the Section.

He claimed that terrorism and Naxalism were wiped out in the last 10 years during the Modi government.

Stating that the Modi government is committed to the welfare of the people of the country, Shah said 80 crore people are getting 5 kg rice each per month free of cost. Over 10 crore poor women have been provided free gas under the Ujjwala scheme and 14 crore families provided tapped water.

Pointing out various failures of the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government, Shah said the Narendra Modi government allocated Rs 10,000 crore for the supply of safe drinking water to households in Odisha but it is a matter of concern that the BJD government has failed to utilise even half of the amount.

"You have voted Navee Patnaik to power for 25 years. Odisha has lost these years. The State has not seen any development. Vote the BJP to power this time, Odisha will be a number one in just five years," he asserted.

Shah said people would not go outside the State in search of work as, if voted to power, the BJP government would establish textile parks, agro-based industries, and fisheries colleges in the region (western Odisha).

He said it was time for Odisha to become number one in the country and that people of the State should rise to Modi's charisma and vote for BJP and ensure the victory of 20 Lok Sabha seats and the absolute number of Assembly seats.

The star poll campaigner of the saffron party said Viksit Bharat 2047, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, can be possible only when Odisha will be a Viksit State.

Among others, the gathering was addressed by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Leader of Opposition Jayanarayan Mishra, and BJP State president Manmohan Samal.
