Temperatures In Odisha Cross 40 Degree Celsius Mark In Five Places

Bhubaneswar, Mar 29: Temperatures crossed the 40-degree Celsius mark at five places in Odisha on Friday, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, five places i.e. Bhanipatna, Balangir, Titlagarh, Nayagarh and Boudh recorded 40 degree Celsius today.

The mercury touched 37.5 degree Celsius in Bhubaneswar and 37.4 degree Celsius in Cuttack.  

Around 36 places in the state recorded over 35 degree Celcius with IMD predicting hot and humid weather conditions over many places during the next 4-5 days.

The maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to rise by 2-3 degree Celsius during next two days and no large change thereafter at many places in the State, the Meteorological Centre said.
