Secunderabad, June 20: Two parked empty train coaches on Thursday caught fire in Telagana's Secunderabad. No casualties were reported in the incident and there was minimal damage to property, authorities said.
Five fire engines rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information regarding the incident and the blaze was successfully extinguished.
D Mohan Rao, Fire Station Officer, Secunderabad told ANI, "A call about a fire in train coaches was received at 1050 hours today. Five fire engines were rushed to the site. The fire has been doused now."
He further said, "The two train coaches that caught fire are a pantry and an AC coach. The property loss is also of a lower gravity."
A similar kind of fire accident occurred in Bihar on June 6 where a fire broke out in the coaches of a Patna-Jharkhand passenger train in Lakhisarai's Bihar.
No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
