Cuttack, Sept 2: On the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Dharanidhar Nayak, Deputy Director of Mines (DDM) of Talcher in Angul district, Vigilance teams started conducting simultaneous searches in the houses of Nayak and his relatives at different places in the State on Monday morning.
As many as 10 DSPs, 16 Inspectors, 7 SI/ASIs, and other supporting staff were engaged in the search work, conducted on the strength of warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Angul.
Houses were searched at the following eight places in Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar and Angul districts.
1. Flat No. 205, 2nd floor of Surekha Orchid Sisuvihar, Patia Bhubaneswar.
2. One double-storeyed market complex consisting of 15 shops in a building at Badinali Sinkulabahal, Jagmohanpur Telkoi , Keonjhar.
3. One double-storeyed building under construction adjacent to the above market.
4. One single-storeyed building at Badinali Sinkulabahal, Jagmohanpur Telkoi, Keonjhar.
5. Paternal house of Nayak at village Chhamunda, Telkoi, Keonjhar.
6. His temporary residence at Talcher.
7. His office room at Talcher.
8. His relative's house at village Purumunda, Ghatagaon, Keonjhar.
Searches were on, said an official release of Odisha Vigilance.
