Sujeet Kumar Joins BJP After Resigning From RS Seat and BJD

Bhubaneswar, Sept 6: An hour after quitting Rajya Sabha seat and prime membership of the Biju Janata Dal(BJD), Sujeet Kumar joined the Bharatia Janata Party (BJP) at its New Delhi head office today.  

Sujeet Kumar resigned from the Upper House seat, citing negligence by the Biju Janata Dal. He said he took the hard decision in the interest of people of Kalahandi and Odisha. 

Sujeet Kumar was welecomed to the BJP by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Odisha Pravari Bijaypal Singh Tomar, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh and Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahtab. 

The leaders received Sujeet Kumar by offering shawls and flower bouquets.
