Subhadra Yojana: Last Phase Of 1st Installment To Be Released On March 7, Says Dy CM Pravati Parida

Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: The first installment of the Subhadra Scheme will be paid out in the last take by March 7, 2025, the day before the International Women's Day on March 8. 

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who holds the Women and Child Welfare Development portfolio, informed this today. She said the second installment of the women empowerment scheme will be disbursed on International Women's Day on March 8. 

Parida said 2.67 lakh applications have been found faulty for various reasons. They are being reviewed now. Physical verifications will be conducted and all those found eligible will be given the first installment. 

She urged women not to crowd banks to get Subhadra installment. Only Bank Account- Aaadhar link is required to get the Subhadra installment.  

The Deputy Chief Minister said the first installment would be disbursed in another phase in February. 

It may be noted that the State government has decided to provide financial aid of Rs 50,000 to eligible women in 10 installments over five years.  The first installment of Rs 5,000 has already been provided to about 80 lakh women. Every year, beneficiaries will be Rs 5000 each on Raksha Bandhan and International Women's Day.
