Stringent Action To Be Taken In Bharatpur PS Incident: Odisha CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, Sept 20: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Friday said stringent action will be taken against all culprits involved in the shameful Bharatpur police station incident where an Army officer and his fiancee were allegedly ill-treated by cops in the intervening night of September 14 and 15.

"On behalf of the State government, the Crime Branch has been entrusted with the charge of investigation. Five cops have been suspended. FIR has been registered against them," said the Chief Minister. 

Majhi asserted that his government would never backtrack from taking action regarding the incident. 

"My government is all aware of the incident. Stringent action will be taken in the coming days. No one needs to be worried," Modi said.
