Puri, Feb 19: A shameful incident has come to the fore with a minor girl committing suicide after being allegedly sexually abused by her father at Matiapada village under Shimili gram panchayat in the Konark area in Puri district last night.

The ghastly matter came to the fore after the girls' mother complained to the Konark police in this regard.

According to the complaint, The girl's father had committed the shameful act on his eldest daughter.  Though the minor girl had told her mother about his father's bad look at her, the mother advised the girl to keep the matter secret so that the family's dignity would not be destroyed.
