Shocking! 10-Year-Old Student Dies As Rooftop Water Tank Collapses In Private EM School In Baleswar

Baleswar, June 28: In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old student lost his life as a rooftop water tank collapsed in a private residential English medium school at Padampur under the Chandipur police station limits this morning.

The deceased was identified as Narayan Tudu.

According to the information, the body was washing her hands in the washing basin when the water tank installed on the roof caved in and fell over him. School authorities rushed the boy to the District Headquarters Hospital soon but doctors declared him dead.

Narayan was a native of Baranga in Khordha district. He had been staying in the hostel since admission.

The district Collector of Baleswar has ordered a probe into the tragic incident. District Education Officer (DEO) Prativa Manjari Das will conduct an on-the-spot inquiry under the guidance of the Additional District Magistrates, said sources.
