Cuttack, Nov 20: In another shameful act, an eight-year-old girl was reportedly raped in the Baranga Trisulia in the Cuttack district area last night. 

The ghastly incident came to the fore after the victim's parents complained to the Baranga police station early this morning. 
The victim has been admitted to the Shishu Bhawan in critical condition. 

According to the information, the parents of the child were working in a brick kiln when the miscreant sexually assaulted the child, finding her alone in the house. The family belongs to Jharkhand. 

Cuttack DCP Jagamohan Meena said two police teams have been formed to search for the accused, who is absconding.
