Seven Killed In Multiple Road Accidents In Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Sept 15: As many as seven persons died  in four different road accidents in Odisha late Saturday night.

Four men died in two different accidents in Baripada, while two died in an accident on Balangir-Bargarh national highway. Another old man too lost his life in another accident in Sundargarh.

A Bolero rammed into a roadside tree, resulting the death of two persons, including the driver of the vehicle. The accident took place at Khasadiha Chowk near Rangamatia under Baripada Sadar Police Station limits. The deceased have been identified as Bhuban Singh and Jayant Singh.

The other accident took place in Baripada when a bike hit a truck from behind near NH-18. The accident claimed two lives as both the driver and the pillion rider of the bike reportedly died. The identities of the duo are yet to be ascertained.

Elsewhere in Balangir-Bargarh NH-201, an unknown vehicle hit a bike resulting two deaths near Madhiapali. Both the driver and the pillion rider reportedly died on the spot. 

According to reports, police has recovered a Pulser bike carrying Chhattisgarh number plate from the spot. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained as investigation is underway. The bodies have been sent to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir for post-mortem. 

An old man was killed in a road accident in an area under K Balang Police Station in Sundargarh. Police has recovered the body and trying to identify the deceased.
