Bhadrak, April 2: In a tragic mishap, two persons were killed and four others sustained critical injuries as a Scorpio van hit a truck on National Highway 16  near Sai Temple at Nabanga in Bhadrak district early this morning. 

All the injured are undergoing treatment. 

According to the information, the ill-fated van carrying people was on its way from West Ben gal to Puri when the driver lost control over its wheels, probably due to drowsiness, and rammed the vehicle into the rear of a truck. 

Police rescued all the injured persons and rushed them to the Bhadra District Headquarters Hospital where two of them were declared dead.  The rest four were later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital given their serious condition.
