Scorching Temperature Continues To Hit Normal Life In Odisha

Bhubaneswar, April 2: Scorching heat conditions continued to hit normal life in Odisha with various places recording minimum temperatures at 30 degrees Celsius and above by 8.30 am this morning.

According to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Balasore recorded 32 degrees Celsius by 8.30 am. By this time, the capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 30.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Chandbali 30.4, Puri 30, Sambalpur 30, Rourkela 29.8, Paradip 29.6 and Jharsuguda 29.4 degrees Celsius.  

In the last 24 hours, at least nine cities recorded temperatures at 40 degrees Celsius and above. While Baripada and Jharsuguda recorded the highest temperature at 40.4 degrees Celsius each, Bolangir recorded 40.3 degrees Celsius and Talcher, Bhawanipatna, Titilagarh, Nayagarh, Boudh and Mahisapat recorded 40 degrees Celsius each. 

According to the weather office, heat wave conditions will continue for next few days,.
