Sambalpur Police Nab Inter-state Dacoit Gang, 10 Held

Sambalpur, July 24: In a major breakthrough, Sambalpur police on Wednesday nabbed an inter-State gang of dacoits and arrested ten members.

Police also seized 480 grams of gold, 165 grams of silver, 35 silver coins, Rs 5,12,000 cash, two SUVs, one tractors, five bikes and 11 mobile phones from them.

Sambalpur SP informed that the dacoit gang was involved in several loot cases in western Odisha and their main targets were rice mills, petrol pumps and country-liquor units.

Meanwhile, the Sambalpur police is investigating whether there are more persons involved with the dacoit gang.
