Sambalpur: Girl Dies In House Fire; Woman Found Dead In Another Room

Sambalpur, Nov 6: A girl died in ahouse fire, while her mother was found dead in another room late Tuesday night.

The incident took place in a house near Maneswar weekly market under Sambalpur Sadar police station limits. 

The girl The girl was burnt to death in the kitchen. The reason behind the fire is unknown. Her mother, on the other hand, was found dead suspiciously in another room of the same house.

The duo has been identified as Snehalata Dikshit (mother) and Sairendri Dikshit (daughter).

Their neighbours saw the kitchen on fire and immediately informed the police. The police arrived at the scene and contained the fire before recovering the bodies of the deceased.

As per reports, a scientific team too reached the spot and investigating the scene. The police said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and once the report comes, it will be cleared whether it's a murder or suicide or something else.

More details are awaited in the case as investigation is underway.
