Bhubaneswar, July 25: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till 4 PM on Thursday due to ruckus by opposition BJD and the Congress.
The House witnessed ruckus for the fourth consecutive day of the opening session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly.
As soon as the House commenced at 10.30 AM to take up the question hours, Congress MLAs created ruckus alleging Centre's neglect to Odisha over the Polavaram project.
Congress members trooped into the well of the House, raising slogans on "Odisha Asmita" (Odisha Pride).
Amid the chaos, Speaker Surama Padhy first adjourned the House for 15 minutes and subsequently till 4 PM.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who holds the Finance portfolio, is scheduled to present the first annual State budget of his government for 2024-25 this evening.
