Rs 1250.55 Cr Credited To 'Subhadra' Beneficiaries' Bank Accounts Today

Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: A total of Rs 1250.55 crore was credited to bank accounts of 25,00,011 'Subhadra' beneficiaries after the flagship government scheme was launched by the Prime Minister at a special event in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. 

Each beneficiary received Rs 4,999 in her bank account. 

Inaugurating the scheme the Prime Minister said the double-engine government has fulfilled its promise. "Without women's empowerment, the development of the country is not possible. Our double-engine government has prioritized women's empowerment," said the Prime Minister. 

The Prime Minister claimed that all other promises of opening of four gates and Ratna Bhandar of Shreemandir have been fulfilled by the double-engine government.  

He said Odisha was under the Central government's focus when even the BJP was not in power in the State. 

CM Mohan Majhi thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing support to women in the State. 

"Crores of mothers of the country have benefitted from the Ujjwala Yojana. We want to empower women in Odisha and it is the main objective of the Subhadra Yojana," said CM Majhi.
