Ratna Bhandar Will Open Soon, Corrupt Persons to Be Punished: CM Majhi At Welcome Event

Bhubaneswar, June 30: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Sunday said his government will open the Ratna Bhandar of Puri's Shreemandir soon, and punish all those involved in corruption and illegal activities in the previous government.  

The Chief Minister said the offenders would be dragged out even if they hid in the Patala (netherworld).

"Our government is committed to a people's government. We will open Ratna Bhandar of Shreemandir soon. We will punish all those involved in corruption practices in the previous government. Those who looted the State's resources will never be spared," said the Chief Minister at the Welcome Event organized on Exhibition Ground today. 

The Chief Minister said all efforts will be made to uphold Odia Asmita. 

Over 10,000 people, including leaders and party workers, attended the event graced by CM Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers- KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Union Ministers- Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, Ashwini Vaishnaw, State BJP president Manmohan Samal, among others. 

Union Education Minister Pradhan attributed the credit for the formation of the BJP government in Odisha to the people and lord Jagannath. He said the new government would respect the trust of the people and fulfill all their aspirations. 

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram said the government, all party leaders and workers would work in tandem to prove that people's trust in them will never fail. 

Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing bigger support to the railway sector in Odisha. 

"The annual railway support has touched Rs 10,000 crore mark in the last three years. The Narendra Modi government will keep providing bigger support to Odisha," said Vaishnaw. 

BJP State president reasserted that all promises from paddy MSP of Rs 3100 per quintal to Subhadra Yojana voucher of Rs 50,000 will be implemented on time. He boasted saying that the new BJP government, as per promise, opened the Chari Dwar of Shreemandir and announced Rs 500 crore for the shrine within hours of oath-taking.

"The first Cabinet met within hours of oath-taking of the government. Chari Dwar of the Shreemadir was opened and Rs 500 crore was provided to the temple. Subhadra Yojana will be implemented within 100 days. All promises made in the manifesto will be implemented in letter and spirit," asserted Samal.
