Railway Minister Reacts To TTE's Suspension  For Thrashing Passenger In Viral Video

Lucknow, Jan 19: In a viral video that is being circulated all micro-blogging website X, formerly twitter, a railway TTE was seen thrashing a passenger for travelling without ticket in the Barauni-Lucknow express (15203) in Uttar Praesh. 

Soon after, the video got viral, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) took notice of the incident and suspended the TTE with immediate effect on Thursday. 

 

 

Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw reacted to the purpoted video in a tweet on X. He had in a reply to the suspension said," Zero tolerance for such misconduct, TTE has been suspended". 

 

 

A co-passenger sitting on a higher berth had captured the video of the TTE hitting the passenger. The TTE was asking the passenger to stand up and went on hitting him. He also dragged the piece of cloth the passenger had wrapped around his neck.
