Puri, Aug 21: Puri police has arrested nine accused, including seven minors, Wednesday in connection with the murder case of Harihara Sahoo.

Among the accused are the father-son duo of Bijay Khuntia and Rakesh Kumar Khuntia of Radha Govinda Lane, under Puri Town Police Station limits.

The nine accused are involved in the murder of Harihara Sahoo August 19. According to reports, the murder of Harihara was an act of revenge.

Notably, it all began when Pradeep Sahoo and his associates brutally murdered Dinesh Khuntia August 8 following a conflict related to Khaja (sweet cracker) business.

The Puri Police arrested Pradeep and four of his associates in allegation of Dinesh Khuntia's murder before forwarding them to court.

However, Dinesh's elder brother Rakesh and their father Bijay couldn't resist their hatred and killed Harihara, father of Pradeep.

A special team was formed under the leadership of Puri DSP Prasant Sahu to conduct raids at different places in search of the accused. Puri SP Pinak Mishra has informed about the arrest of nine accused in a press meet assuring the people of arresting the remaining two accused very soon.
