Puri Arpan Rice To Be Sold Out: Mill Owners, People Can Buy It

Puri, Oct 1: Puri district administration has revealed that the remaining ‘arpan rice’ which has become stale and unfit for use in ‘Mahaprasad’ will be sold out.

With the approval of the government, it has been decided to sell the remaining thousands of quintals of offered rice through tenders.

According to the information, the miller or person interested in buying can also make a spot visit.  The money collected from the tender by selling the offering rice will be given to the temple administration.

“It will be better if the rice will be processed again and ‘Kanika’ prepared from it will be distributed to the devotees,” said Suar and Mahasuar Nijog president
