Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: Arabinda Padhi, Prinicipal Secretary of Agriculture Department, has announced the compensation chart for the farmers, who suffered losses due to the Cyclone 'Dana'.
Farmers, whose half-a-hector farming land is damaged due to the cyclone, will get a compensation of Rs 4,200, while farmers will get Rs 1,000 for minor loss.
Farmers will get Rs 17,000 if the crop is damaged in the irrigated land. Small farmers having irrigated land will get a compensation of Rs 2,000.
The farmers, having suffered loss of crops in Agro forest or plantation, will get Rs 22,500 per hector.
"At least 2,500 farmers will be compensated," said Arabinda Padhi, adding that the loss will be calculated jointly by the officials of Revenue department and agriculture department.
