President Droupadi Murmu Greets Citizens On Eve Of Ganesh Chaturthi

New Delhi, Sep 6: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday extended greetings and best wishes to citizens of the country and abroad on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.

"On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all Indians living in India and abroad," President Murmu said in her message to the people.

In her message, the President further said that this festival of joy and enthusiasm gives the message of social harmony and brotherhood. "Bhagwan Ganesh is a symbol of knowledge, wisdom, and prosperity. This festival motivates us to be humble and dutiful and also promotes social cohesion," she added.

“On this occasion, let us take a pledge to collectively build a peaceful and prosperous India,” she said.

Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten-day festival that starts on the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar month 'Bhadrapada', will start tomorrow. This auspicious ten-day festival starts with 'Chaturthi' and ends on 'Anantha Chaturdashi'.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ganesh who is the epitome of knowledge, wisdom, and prosperity.
