Police Outpost To Come Up At Baramunda Bus Terminal

Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: The State Government has decided to establish a police outpost at the Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar Bus Terminal, Baramunda which will be inaugurated in a few days. 

A statement from the Chief Minister's Office informed that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has already proposal in this regard. 

As many as 89 police personnel will be engaged. The manpower strength would include two Sub-Inspectors, nine Assistant Sub-Inspectors, four Havildars, 72 Constables, and two drivers. 

The bus terminal is in the last stage of completion. Modern facilities like restaurants, pick up and drop up points, shops and bazaars, toilets and bathrooms have been established keeping in view the visit of more than 45 passengers every day in coming days.  As many as 144 bus bays have been created. While about 800 buses are now visiting the bus terminal now, over 1800 buses are expected to move from the terminal in coming days. 

The Chief Minister is likely to unveil the bus terminal soon.
