Police Cannot Ask Money From Complainants For Investigation: Odisha Police DG YB Khurania

Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: Odisha DGP YB Khurania has said that police cannot ask money from complainants for investigation.

"The police will bear all the expenses incurred during investigations. The police cannot ask money from complainants for the said purpose," stated YB Khurania.

He said that a letter has been written to the Home Department in this regard after having discussions with the state government.

YB Khurania also shared information regarding the recruitment in police. "As many as 9,000 officials will be recruited for the police department," said Khurania.

"Out of 9,000, around 5,000 will be recruited as constables, while 4,000 recruitments will be for SI and ASI," he added.
