PM Modi To Visit Odisha On September 17 To Launch Subhadra Yojana

Bhubaneswar, Sep 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on September 17 to launch the 'Subhadra Yojana' and other development projects for the State, officials said on Wednesday.

According to sources, PM Modi will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar at 11.35 AM on September 17. Then, he is scheduled to visit the Janata Maidan in the city from where he will launch the development projects. He will return to the national capital on the same day.

Under the Subhadra Yojana, the women beneficiaries, aged between 21 and 60 years, will receive Rs 10,000 per annum for the next five years. The first instalment of Rs 5,000 will be given on September 17, on the occasion of PM Modi's birth anniversary.

The State govt aims to cover over 1 crore women under the scheme, officials said.
