Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday arrived in Bhubaneswar on his three-day visit to Odisha during which he will attend the All India DGP/IGP Conference, and meet the party MLAs, MPs and Ministers.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Tribal affairs Minister Jual Oram, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida along with other senior leaders welcomed PM Modi after his arrival at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar little while ago.
After his arrival, PM Modi is scheduled to attend a felicitation programme near the airport. Then, he will leave for the Governor's house at 5.05 PM. He will be greeted by the people through the conduct of various cultural programmes and traditional musical instruments on both sides of the road to Raj Bhawan.
In the evening, PM Modi will visit BJP state office and hold a meeting with the party MLAs, MPs, Ministers and party’s core committee members. Later, he will have dinner and a photo session with party leaders.
PM Modi will leave the party office for Raj Bhawan at 8.30 PM in the evening.
Ahead of his tour, the Prime Minister in a series of X posts said, “Senior police officers from all over India will take part in this (DGP/IGP) conference. There will be extensive deliberations on enhancing India’s internal security apparatus. Different aspects relating to policing and improving public safety will be discussed”.
Over the next two days, will be in Bhubaneswar for the DGP/IGP conference.

PM Modi is scheduled to attend the DG/IGP conference on November 30 and December 1.
The conference will also be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Principal Secretary to PM Modi, National Security Adviser (NSA), Ministers of State (Home Affairs), DGP of States/UTs and Chiefs of Central Police Organisations among others.
The three-day conference, being held from November 29 to December 1, will include deliberations on critical components of national security, including Counter Terrorism, Left Wing Extremism, Coastal Security, New Criminal Laws, and Narcotics among others.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for three-day event. More than 70 platoons of police force have been deployed to keep strict vigil.
