Plus II Student Drowns In Pond After Holi Celebration In Cuttack Village

Cuttack, Mar 26: Holi celebration turned fatal for a Plus II student as he drowned while taking a bath in a pond after playing colours with friends and relatives at Salepur in Cuttack district today. 

The deceased has been identified as Ashish Kumar Das, a Plus II student of Salepur College. 

According to the information, Ashish, son of Saroj Kumar Das of Chhanipur village under Salepur police limits, was taking a bath when he slipped into deep water. Though locals rescued him and rushed him to the Community Health Centre, doctors declared him dead there.

A pall of gloom has descended on the village following the sorrowful incident. 

The police have seized the body and sent the same for postmortem.
