Bhubaneswar, Oct 30: Fuel prices will become cheaper at nine places in Odisha as Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Tuesday announced an increase the Dealer Commission payable to petrol pump dealers.
Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri said that intrastate freight adjustments will benefit consumers in remote areas as it will result in a decrease in petrol and diesel prices in several parts of the country.
“In Kunanpally & Kalimela in Odisha’s Malkangiri petrol price will reduce by Rs 4.69 & Rs 4.55; and diesel price will reduce by Rs 4.45 & Rs 4.32, respectively….,” he posted on his X handle.

As per his post, the prices of Petrol and Diesel will come down in as many as nine places namely Kunanpally, Kalimela, Gondhipally, Nandapur, Maliput, Ramgiri, Badasagar, Raighar and Jharigram.
Indian Oil announced a revision in the dealer margins, effective from October 30, 2024, following the resolution of a pending litigation. It said the decision will have no impact on retail selling price of products.
