PEO Smitarani Murder Case May Be Reopened

Bhubaneswar, Sept 10: The mysterious murder of Panchayat Extention Officer (PEO) Smitarani Biswal of Jajpur district's Haridaspur GP may be reopened soon. 

Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said the State Government would take an appropriate step over the demand submitted by the Odisha BJP OBC Morcha yesterday. 

According to the information, a team of the State BJP's OBC Morcha met the Law Minister and submitted a memorandum, demanding the reopening of the sensational PEO Smitarani Murder Case. The Morcha demanded that all accused persons be arrested soon and Smitarani's family be given justice. 

The Minister has also posted this on his X handle. 

"State BJP OBC Morcha Coordinator Rakesh Nayak, Jajpur district OBC Morcha vice-president Manas Ranjan Nayak, Kotapur Mandal BJP president Kulamani Nayak, Karaka Mandal BJP president Nilamani Das and other party activists met me and submitted a memorandum, demanding re-opening of the Jajpur district's Haridaspur PEO Smitarani murder case. 

I assured them that the State government would take appropriate decision regarding this incident," wrote Harichandan.
