Cuttack, Mar 4: Orissa High Court on Monday annulled the election of Cuttack-Barabati Congress MLA Mohammed Moquim.

According to the information, Orissa High Court declared the election of MLA Mohammed Moquim from Barabati-Cuttack seat null and void as Congress MLA failed to furnish detailed information against his false affidavit case.

BJD leader Debashish Samantaray had filed a petition in the HC in 2019 challenging the election of Moquim on the ground that he had suppressed material facts with respect to the criminal cases pending against him while filing his nomination papers.
