Old Man Trampled To Death By Wild Elephant In Sundargarh

Sundargarh, Oct 4: In a shocking incident,  an elderly man was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Patmunda village under Koida Forest Range in Sundargarh district on Thursday night.

 The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Sama Munda.

According to the reports, wandering in search of food, a tusker invaded Patmunda village and broke into the thatched house of Sama Munda on Thursday night.

Panicked over the elephant attack, his family tried to escape but the tusker lifted Sama Munda by its trunk and crushed him under its feet.

Tension prevailed in the village after the demise of Sama Munda.
