Bhubaneswar, Sept 27: The Mohan Majhi Government will organise the District Collectors' Meeting for the first time today. The meeting will continue for two days.

All the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police are scheduled to attend the meeting.

This was announced by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.

Pujari said the meeting will be attended by all DMs, SPs and higher-level officers of the State government. A detailed discussion will be held on various schemes of the government.

The Minister said the government would guide the officials on how to make the overall administration people-oriented and how the schemes of both the Central and state governments will reach the person at the end of the queue.

He said the administrators would be sensitized to understand the pain of the heart of the poor and to work with accountability.  The mantra of 'people's government and government for the people' will be given to district collectors, SPs, block officers and tehsildars.
