Bhubaneswar, Apr 25: Terming 25 years of Naveen Patnaik's rule as a period of underdevelopment, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Thusday promised the people of Odisha that no one from the State would go outside for work and the State would be made number-one in just five years if the BJP is voted to power.

"You have voted Naveen Patnaik to power for 25 years. The State has not seen any development work in these years. Funds sent by the Modi government have been diverted and misused by the Naveen Patnaik government. You vote for the BJP to form governments both at the Centre and the State. In just five years, the BJP will make Odisha number one and none of you will go outside in search of work," promised Shah.

Shah was addressing a huge gathering at Rameshwar Ground at Sonepur in western Odisha today.

Taking a dig at the State government, Shah expressed anguish that lakhs of people are going outside in search of work even though people voted Naveen Babu to power for long 25 years.

"We will bring industries from inside and outside the country. No one from Odisha will go outside in search of work, leaving family at risk," said Shah.

He promised, if the BJP is voted to power, textile mills, fishing colleges, and agro-based industries will be established in western Odisha so that large numbers of employment will be created for the youths.
