Odisha: People Celebrate Chhadakhai 2023 Today, Non-Veg Markets Witness Huge Crowds

Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: Yesterday marked the Chadakhai 2023. With the end of the holy month of Kartika people shied away from buying non-veg as it was a Tuesday. 

But today i.e Wednesday people will celebrate Chhadakhai for which non-veg markets see a huge rush.

Though the prices are higher as compared to normal days, people do not hesitate to buy non-veg as it is Chadakhai and perfect occasion to enjoy non-veg food.

People were seen thronging markets in the morning to buy fish, crab, chicken, mutton and other non-vegetarian items.

It may be noted that Chhadakhai is a Tithi on the Hindu calendar falls the next day of Kartika Purnima. As per practice, people who observe Kartika Brata in the month of Kartika don't eat non-veg food items. They relish such food items on the Chhadakhai.
