Odisha Girl Manisha Padhi Becomes India's First Woman ADC

Bhubaneswar, Nov 30: Manisha Padhi, a woman Indian Air Force officer from Odisha, has been appointed India's first Woman Aide-De-Camp(ADC) from the Indian Armed Forces.

Mizoram Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati has appointed Manisha Padhi, a 2015 batch Indian Air Force Officer, as India's first Woman Aide-De-Camp. 

A native of Berhampur in Odisha, Padhi is an alumnus of the CV Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar. 
Her parents still reside in Bhubaneswar.
Earlier, Padhi was posted at Air Force Station in Bidar, Air Force Station in Pune, and Air Force Station in Bhatinda.

“Her appointment is not just a milestone but a testament to the power of women breaking gender norms and excelling in different fields. Let’s celebrate this remarkable achievement and continue to champion women’s empowerment in every sphere,” Governor Kambhampati wrote on his X handle.

 

Padhi has formally joined her post, reported to the Governor, and was introduced to the Raj Bhavan, Mizoram officers and staff.
