Bhubaneswar, Dec 31: With the detection of five more Covid positive cases today, the number of active cases in Odisha has risen to 19. The spread of Covid is occurring rapidly.
The number is expected to rise, with the New Year approaching.
The latest update from the Health Ministry shows that the number of active cases in India is 3,997.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recently classified JN.1 as a variant of interest, distinct from its parent lineage BA.2.86.
