Odisha: ED Seizes Rs 1.5 Cr Worth Gold Jewellery, Cash & Documents In Illegal Mining Case

Bhubaneswar, Mar 10: Gold jewellery worth Rs 1.5 crores and hard cash of Rs 30 lakh along with important documents were seized by the Enforcement Directorate(ED) in its raids conducted on four different locations in relation to the alleged financial irregularities in the illegal mineral mining in Keonjhar, informed the ED on Sunday. 

According to the information, raids were conducted in Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Barbil and Kolkata at 12 different locations.

Alongwith with the gold jewellery and hard cash, the ED freezed six bank accounts in connection to the Keonjhar illegal iron mining scandal. 

On March 1, the ED had conducted raids at various locations in Rourkela, Barbil, Jharsuguda and Bhubaneswar. 

The raids were conducted at Deepak Steel & Snehpurush Marketing Pvt Ltd.
