Bhubaneswar/Ranchi: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Chaaran Majhi on Monday attended BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ in poll-bound Jharkhand, as a part of his two-day visit to the neighbouring state.

CM Majhi addressed the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ at Jagannathpur in West Singhbhum district today. He is scheduled to visit Kolhan in Chaibasa tomorrow.

In a post on X, CM Majhi said that the enthusiasm of the people in the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ proves that the people of Jharkhand have already decided to make a big change, where assembly polls are due later this year.

“Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the entire country is becoming self-reliant and developing today. Jharkhand is also determined to join this development trend in the coming days,” he said.

“The time has come to end the anti-people government that is running in Jharkhand,” he added.

CM Majhi also called upon the people of Jharkhand to resolve for the development of the mineral-rich state and bring a BJP government this time.

This was Majhi’s first address outside Odisha after he became Chief Minister. Majhi belongs to the Santhal tribe and BJP plans to utilise him extensively for campaigning in tribal-dominated Jharkhand, political insiders said.

BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ is against corruption, false promises, deteriorating law and order, increasing crime against women, illegal infiltration, changing demography and several other issues in in poll-bound Jharkhand.
