Odisha CM Majhi Pays Tribute To Bravehearts On Kargil Vijay Diwas

Bhubaneswar, July 26: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday paid tribute to bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in the 1999.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), ''On the occasion of the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, I pay rich tributes to the brave immortal soldiers, the son of Mother India, who laid down their lives for the protection of the motherland. The sacrifice, dedication and sacrifice of the brave martyrs will always be remembered. The country will never forget the valiant sacrifice of the brave jawans'', Said Majhi.

 

Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26, commemorates the success of Operation Vijay in 1999.

During this conflict, Indian forces successfully reclaimed strategic positions in the Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir that had been infiltrated by Pakistani soldiers and terrorists.
