Odisha CM, Deputy CMs To Pay Homage To Mahatma Gandhi At Rajghat, To Meet EAM S. Jaishankar

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar, June 29: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with his two deputies, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, will also pay tributes to Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and will call External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar  in New Delhi on Saturday, in the last day visit to the national capital, officials said.

According to the official sources, the newly elected CM and Deputy CMs will will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, will also pay tributes to Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The Trio will call on External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar  in the afternoon. 

In the evening, CM Majhi will address Odia Diaspora at Hauz Khaus Jagannath Temple, Delhi.
CM Majhi and his deputies called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and invited her to the world famous Ratha Yatra festival in Puri.

The newly elected CM and Deputy CMs also met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari separately in the national capital.

According to sources, Majhi and his two deputies discussed with the Prime Minister and the Union Ministers regarding the development of Odisha and implementation of the promises made in the BJP’s election manifesto.

They also slated to meet BJP national president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and several other Union Ministers during their stay in the national capital till June 29.

This is the maiden visit of Majhi to New Delhi after assuming charge as Chief Minister of the first BJP government in Odisha on June 12.
